01 / THE UPGRADEAn older electrical service may need an upgrade before you add an EV charger, heat pump or new living space. We review your existing equipment and planned loads to find the right path.
More service capacity for your next chapter.
Capacity comparison only. Available capacity depends on your home's load calculation and utility approval.
Make room for charging with a service and circuit plan designed around your home.
Replace aging panels and meter equipment with a clean, organized installation.
Plan for a heat pump, remodel or future additions before the work begins.
ONE COMPLETE UPGRADE
02 / OUR SERVICESReplace your existing breaker panel, reconnect circuits, label the new panel and review grounding and bonding.
A cleaner foundationUpdate meter equipment and the service connection as required by your project and utility.
Built for the next stepA coordinated service upgrade covering the equipment, permits, utility scheduling and inspection.
More capacity for your homeA panel replacement alone does not increase your service amperage. Your estimate identifies exactly what your upgrade includes.
BRANDS WE USE
We use Eaton, SPAN, Generac, Siemens and Square D equipment. Your estimate identifies the equipment selected for your project.
PLAN YOUR HOME’S POWER
Choose your equipment to estimate demand and explore service options.
For one home with 120/240V single-phase service. Includes 3 VA per square foot, two kitchen small-appliance circuits and one laundry circuit at 1,500 VA each. Home and appliance loads use 100% of the first 10,000 VA and 40% above that. Heating/cooling uses the larger seasonal load; electric heat and heat-pump backup are counted at 100% for conservative planning. EV charging is added separately at 125% of charging current without load management. An electrician may calculate a different result using the applicable code method and equipment controls.
Assumed appliance inputs: electric range 12 kW, electric tank water heater 4.5 kW, heat pump water heater 1.2 kW, electric tankless 24 kW, electric dryer 5 kW, gas dryer 0.6 kW, gas furnace fan 0.6 kW, heat pump 6 kW, electric heating 15 kW, separate A/C 5 kW, dishwasher 1.2 kW, disposal 0.8 kW, microwave 1.5 kW and separate oven 5 kW. Actual nameplates matter. Gas cooking and gas water heating add no separate allowance. Solar generation does not subtract from demand.
Planning estimate only, not a permit load calculation or a guarantee that an upgrade is required. Final recommendations require actual equipment ratings, all existing and future loads, service/meter verification, local code review and utility approval. EV load management or lower charging current may avoid an upgrade.

GOOD QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.
A replacement addresses the panel itself. Increasing from 100A to 200A may also require meter equipment, service conductors and utility work. We review the existing setup and load requirements before recommending the scope.
Yes, service work requires a planned interruption. We coordinate the disconnect, installation, inspection and reconnection sequence and discuss the expected outage with you before work begins.
Tell us about existing solar, backup power and any planned new equipment. We include those requirements in the site review and identify any additional work in your estimate.
Panel and meter location, overhead or underground service, condition of existing wiring, grounding, utility requirements and new circuits all affect the scope. An equipment review helps us provide a project-specific estimate.
