One meter for the house. One for the DADU and garage.
For Cary’s Seattle property, we separated the electrical metering so the DADU and garage are supplied through one meter and the main house is supplied through the other. This allows the house’s electrical usage to be billed separately from the DADU and garage.
Shudko Electric worked with Seattle City Light, submitted the application for the new meter and coordinated the service work. The project passed all required inspections from the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) and Seattle City Light (SCL), and power was reconnected.
- Separated the main house’s metering from the DADU and garage
- Kept the DADU and garage together on one meter
- Provided a separate meter for the main house and separate electrical billing
- Submitted the new-meter application to Seattle City Light
- Prepared service planning drawings and coordinated the meter-separation work
- Passed SDCI and Seattle City Light inspections
- Completed utility reconnection
